At the Monday, Sept. 19 meeting, the board postponed the purchase of a batting cage until more construction details were decided.
With the College in the High School (CIHS) program, the student receives both college and high school credit for the course. In the Post Secondary Education Option (PSEO), a student may leave campus or attend the college course online.
The board only approved the Savvas materials for third through fifth grades.
The changes are incorporated in the 2022-23 student handbook, which they adopted at their Monday, Aug. 15 meeting.
There will be competitive races this November for city council in Park Rapids, Nevis and Menahga, for Menahga mayor and for various school board seats.
Gearing up for the new school year, the Menahga School Board reviewed a draft of the 2022-23 student handbook at their July 18 meeting.

In a five-minute special meeting, held Monday, July 11, the Menahga School Board accepted a letter of resignation from elementary principal Ann Wothe, effective June 28, and approved a principal contract with Margaux Hylla.
The board will take formal action at its July meeting.
According to Interim Superintendent Kevin Wellen, Michael Schmidt has worked at the Staples-Motley School District for the last 11 years, most recently as high school principal.
