Interfaith prayer vigil at Headwaters

An indigenous-led interfaith vigil, including clergy and concerned citizens, is planned from noon to 1 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 23 at the headwaters of the Mississippi River in Itasca State Park to honor the environment and pray about the encroachment of the Line 3 pipeline replacement on Native American treaty rights and the state's natural resources. Speakers include Native Elder Dawn Goodwin; Curtis DeYoung, CEO of the Minnesota Council of Churches; Jim Bear Jacob, founder of the Minnesota Healing Stories Project; Pastors Theresa Williams and Roosevelt Williams with Shiloh Temple International Ministries of Minneapolis; Muslim leader Ruhel Islam; Youth Climate Intervenor Nina Berglund; Hindu, Unitarian Universalist, Bahai and other leaders. Following the prayer circle, the area will remain open until 4 p.m. for personal vigils. Participants are advised to enter from the Mary Gibbs Visitor Center at 36750 Main Park Dr. The vigil will be preceded by day-long events and field trips on Saturday, Sept. 22, including a pipeline tour, wild rice tour and cultural tour, and a community meal that night at the Lake Ozawindib Group Center with remarks by Winona LaDuke, executive director and co-founder of Honor the Earth. Trinity Church - Episcopal and Presbyterian

Morning worship on Sunday, Sept. 22 will be led by the Rev. Mary Marotte. The service begins at 9 a.m. with coffee and fellowship time to follow. Morning prayer will be observed at 9 a.m.on Wednesday, Sept. 26. Bible study will continue at 1 p.m. The church office will be open that day and Rev. Calvary Lutheran Church

Calvary Lutheran Church welcomes all for services. Saturday Service will be at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, we will have two worship services at 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. We will have Communion at the earlier service. Coffee and fellowship will be at 9 a.m. Sunday in the fellowship hall. Adult Ed "The Gospel Galatians" will be at 9:15 a.m. Sunday and 7 p.m. Monday in the Luther room. Low-impact exercise will be held at 8 a.m. on Monday and Thursday in the youth commons; everyone is welcome. Quilters will be meeting at 9 a.m. on Monday in the fellowship hall. TGIW worship will be at 6 p.m. with a meal before from 5 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday; all are welcome. Bell choir will be meeting at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Junior League kickoff will begin at 6 p.m. on Wednesday. Calvary Singers will practice at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. Heritage Living Center Bible Study will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Heritage Living Center. Men's Fellowship will meet at 7 p.m. Friday.

Hubbard United Methodist

"Catch the Hubbard Spirit" at Hubbard United Methodist Church when the lively hymn sing begins at 8:45 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 23. We continue with worship at 9 a.m. with Pastor Laurie Kantonen. Riverside United Methodist Church

Faithbridge Church

Faithbridge Church worship schedule includes a traditional service at 8:15 a.m. Fellowship time begins at 9 a.m. Sunday School for all ages at 9:30 a.m. and a contemporary service at 10:45 a.m. The 10:45 a.m. service is also streamed live from our website. Grace Community

Grace Community Church of Osage invites all to a worship service on Sundays at 10:30 a.m. Preceding the service is Sunday school and an adult Bible class at 9:30 a.m. Following the morning service there is a weekly time of fellowship and refreshments.
