DEVOTIONAL GUIDE: Sing the song of the Lord

It's possible to "praise your way" through any difficulty.

Pastor Fred Brown Robin Fish / Enterprise, Aug. 16, 2021

There is an older song we used to sing in church, and maybe it is time to revive it.

Here are the lyrics:

“It's amazing what praising can do. Alleluia, alleluia. It's amazing what praising can do. Alleluia! I don't worry when things go wrong, Jesus fills my heart with a song; and it's amazing what praising can do! Alleluia.”

Oh, yes, it is amazing! I have put this to the test many times and it works each time. The enemy will attempt to stop you before you even get started, because he hates it when you praise the Lord!

That fact, alone, should be enough for us to do what the song says. I think it is possible for us to "praise our way" through any difficulty.

Praise must come out of our voice. As my co-pastor, Beverly, reminds us often, “It's a voice-activated universe. The word in your mouth opens the vault to everything you need.” How true! Your voice and the Word, together, is the key to unlock the vault.

So, next time you are under a load of care, just open your mouth and sing the song of the Lord and watch what He will do on your behalf.

Be encouraged, this day, for Jesus is on His way to take you home.

“These light and momentary troubles are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us” (Romans 8:18).

Be blessed, and remember: You are loved with an everlasting love!
