It took two groomers to get Chloe dry after her Saturday bath. Fur was everywhere as Heather Flann, at left, and Kevin Bruce wielded hair dryers. The dog wash fundraiser, put on by Angie's Groom 'n Board, raised $2,250 for the Headwaters Animal Shelter in Park Rapids. That was just shy of the first annual proceeds of $2,310 in 2012. A platoon of groomers and volunteers herded a constant parade of animals into the wash room, then under hair dryers during the two-day event. Some had a full spa day, complete with nail trims. Dozens of pooches got pampered and primped. Exhausted groomers and owner Angie Walther pronounced the event a success, even though they are likely still scrubbing dog hair from every surface in the establishment. Chloe left clumps of fur everywhere.
The fur flew for a good cause
