A concert by the Twin Cities area’s premier senior rock group has been postponed.

According to Living at Home of the Park Rapids Area (LAH), the Alive & Kickin concert slated for Sunday, Aug. 29 at Calvary Lutheran Church was postponed due to the new surge of COVID-19 cases in Minnesota.

This “simply makes it impossible to protect the performers, crew, partners and audience members for an indoor performance. Additionally, we have exhausted our options for a safe outdoor venue,” wrote Betsy Meyer, LAH’s dementia friendly community coordinator. “We look forward to the day when we can safely gather and celebrate aging. We will be working with Alive & Kickin to do just that.”
