Park Rapids Community Band to play Sounds of Spirit Lake

Menahga's summer 2022 concert series opens July 1.

Directed by Adam Tervola-Hultberg, the Park Rapids Area Community Band will perform July 1 at Sounds of Spirit Lake in Menahga. They traditionally play patriotic music prior to the Fourth of July fireworks in Park Rapids as well.

The Park Rapids Area Community Band will open the 2022 Sounds of Spirit Lake concert series at 7 p.m. Friday, July 1.

Directed by Adam Tervola Hultberg, the concert will be outdoors, near the fishing pier on the shores of Spirit Lake in Menahga.

Refreshments will be available, provided by the United Methodist Church of Menahga. Bring your own lawn chairs.

In case of rain, the concert will be held in the Menahga School, one block east of the lakefront site on U.S. Hwy. 71.

Other concerts this summer include Monroe Crossing at 1 p.m. Sunday, July 10, part of Menahga’s midsummer celebration; classic country band Robinson Roundup at 7 p.m. Friday, July 15; classic rock band Rock of Ages at 7 p.m. Friday, July 22; and a capella group Tonic Sol-fa at 7 p.m. Friday, July 29.

These activities are funded, in part, by a grant from the Five Wings Arts Council, through a legislative appropriation from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
