The season kicks off Sunday, Oct. 18 with a performance by the "Hot Club of Cowtown," a Texas based western swing and jazz trio - violin, guitar and upright bass - who will bring the tamest audience to is feet.

"Ten O'Clock Classics" will perform Feb. 23, 2010. The young musicians are determined to change the audience's perception of classical music by taking it to places visited by non-classical music lovers, like bars, apartments, health clubs and even as half-time entertainment for the NBA.

The fourth concert of the season will take place March 19, 2010 and will feature Jasper Wood who will celebrate the life and music of the 20th Century's greatest violinist. Jasper Wood will present a program with music by Beethoven, Debussy and Prokofiev. Additionally, he will perform a selection of the master violinist's most popular arrangements, including Saraste's Zigeunerweisen, Stephen Foster's Jeanie With the Light Brown Hair and Manuel Ponce's Estrellita (Little Star).

Concluding the season will be the Harry James Orchestra with a performance scheduled for April 23, 2010. The Big Band Salute to the music that won World War II, directed by Trumpet Virtuoso Fred Rake, will perform all the tunes Harry James made, including "I had The Craziest Dream," "Sleepy Lagoon," "You Made Me Love You," and "I Don't Want to Walk Without You."

All concerts will be held at the Park Rapids Area High School auditorium at 7:30 p.m. Membership tickets are sold at Park Snyder Pharmacy, Beagle Books, Thrifty White Drug in Walker and the Menahga Snyder Drug. Members are also granted admission to concerts in Wadena and Brainerd.
