Crazy Days Thursday and Friday, July 28 and 29 makes finding bargains fun. Businesses go all out with sales on Main Street Thursday and on sidewalks Friday.
The Park Rapids Downtown Business Association and Friends of the Library will sponsor free kids’ shows on the first day of Crazy Days Thursday, July 28. The shows will be at 10 a.m. and noon at Pioneer Park on the second block of Main Street.
Paul Nye, a children’s pop musician and songwriter, will bring the wonder of imagination and creativity to elementary school kids in a fun and engaging way through original music, storytelling and interaction.
“Unpolished” will play at 10:50 a.m. and 12:50 p.m. Thursday at Pioneer Park. “Unpolished” performs an eclectic mix of roots, Americana and Bluegrass music on bass, guitar, mandolin and banjo complete with rich three-part harmonies. The group covers many styles of folk music including music from the 1800s, Civil War, old cowboy music, railroad songs, bluegrass music and traditional gospel music.
Smokey Hills Outdoor Store will sponsor Rambo Fat Bikes demonstrations on Main Street from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday.
The Park Rapids Area High School Drama Department will present Shakespeare‘s comedy, “All the World’s a Stage,” at 3:30 p.m. in Pioneer Park. Greet the cast as they pass the hat for this fundraiser for the Drama Department.
And plan to stay downtown for 2nd Street Stage featuring “The4ontheFloor” from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
Rock ’n roll is alive and well in this band who opened the 2013 2nd Street Stage season in unforgettable style.
The weekly concert series offers free music, a beer garden and family activities on 2nd Street in downtown Park Rapids. Bring your own chairs.
