According to Cosmopolitan magazine the hottest bachelor in North Dakota is from Fargo, again.
For the second year in a row our city has produced the state's "hottest" bachelor naming Jesse Regan as the recipient of the title. Last year, Fargo's Andy DeGidio was given the honor.
The full list will be released in the next issue of the magazine, which hits stands Tuesday. But Regan, and the rest of the country's top single men, can be seen on the magazine's Web site, www.cosmospolitan.com .
Though he'll be flying out to New York City next week to meet with the rest of his new peer group for some media appearances, Regan isn't letting the select title get to his head.
"I don't have any expectations from this other than to have a good time and have fun," said the 30-year-old Regan. "If I started coming off being egotistical or arrogant about something all my friends and family would ground me pretty fast."

Coincidentally, part of the reason Regan was nominated for the title was because he was able to keep his family grounded during a difficult time.
Brianne Regan said she decided to nominate her brother for a variety reasons, but one of the primary points of her submission essay was how strong he was during their mother Rene's battle with breast cancer.
"There was a point and time I remember talking to him on the phone and thinking 'oh my gosh ... I'm not going to be able to live without her,' " Brianne says. "And he was like, 'that's not what she needs to hear right now. She needs us to be strong.' "
Fortunately, Brianne and Jesse didn't have to learn life without their mother. Her cancer is in remission.
But Jesse is learning that life as "North Dakota's Hottest Bachelor" isn't much different than it was before. The pharmaceutical sales representative who graduated from West Fargo High School and Minnesota State University Moorhead said he has no real expectations about this title.
"It's hard to say what to expect from something like this," he says. "Look at it from my point of view, what do you expect?"
Some might expect plenty of calls from single women. But Regan said so far that isn't that case, except for the two e-mails sent to his address listed on the Cosmo Web site.
But so far he says, "no marriage proposals."
