Back by popular demand, Long Lake Theater's production of "A Closer Walk with Patsy Cline" returns for two performances only.
The show delighted audiences at the Hubbard theater in June, with Julie Kaiser, of Solway, playing the role of Patsy Cline and Matthew Goinz, of Bemidji, as "Little Big Man."
A small, live band accompanies Kaiser's singing. Goinz, who serves as both director and musical director for the production, plays piano. Christopher Konecne and Lee Foster, both of which are currently attending Bemidji State University, play drums and bass guitar player, respectively.
"A Closer Walk with Patsy Cline," written by Dean Regan, will be performed 3 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 23 and Aug. 30 at the Park Rapids Area High School auditorium.
The musical tribute follows the legendary singer's climb to stardom from her hometown in Virginia to The Grand Ole Opry, Las Vegas and Carnegie Hall. It features more than 20 greatest hits, including "Crazy," "Walkin' After Midnight" and "I Fall to Pieces."
