There are a variety of meals and desserts that can be made with just a few ingredients and a coffee mug. The first recipe is one I got from a friend. The others are from

Omelette in a Mug

1 teaspoon butter

2 large eggs

Toppings (cheese, cooked ham, bacon crumbles, mushrooms, chopped bell pepper, veggies)

Add butter to a 12- to 16-ounce, microwave-safe coffee cup. Crack 2 eggs into cup. Beat with fork until well mixed. Microwave 1 minute. Sprinkle with desired toppings. Microwave 30-60 seconds or until egg is cooked through. Season with salt and pepper, if desired.

Simple French Toast in a Cup

1 tablespoon butter

1/4 cup milk

1 egg, beaten

1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon white sugar

1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 slices of wheat, white or raisin bread cut into cubes

Melt butter in the bottom of a large mug in the microwave, about 30 seconds. Tilt mug to coat all sides with melted butter. Stir melted butter, milk, egg, cinnamon, sugar and vanilla extract together in the mug. Press bread cubes into milk mixture. Microwave on high until set, about 90 seconds.

Doughnut in a Mug

1 egg, beaten

2 tablespoons brown sugar

2 tablespoons self-rising flour or 2 tablespoons regular flour and 1/4 teaspoon baking powder

1-1/2 tablespoons milk

1 tablespoon white sugar

1 tablespoon olive oil or vegetable oil

1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Beat egg, brown sugar, self-rising flour, milk, white sugar, olive oil and cinnamon together in a large mug. Microwave on high heat for 2 minutes. If doughnut isn't fully cooked after 2 minutes, microwave for 10 more seconds.

Meatloaf in a Mug

1 slice white bread, torn into pieces

2 tablespoons milk

1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1/4 pound ground beef

1 green onion, thinly sliced

1/4 teaspoon seasoned salt

1/8 teaspoon pepper

Place torn bread into a small bowl, then pour in milk and Worcestershire sauce. Set aside for a few minutes for bread to absorb the liquid. Add ground beef, green onion, seasoned salt, and pepper to bread. Mix well and place into a 10 ounce, microwave-safe mug. Cook in microwave at 70 percent power until meatloaf is firm and no longer pink in the center, 4 to 5-1/2 minutes depending on the microwave. Remove meatloaf from microwave and allow to stand 2 minutes before serving.

Nutella Cake in a Mug

2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder, or more to taste

1/4 cup self-rising flour

1/4 cup white sugar

1 egg

3 tablespoons vegetable oil

3 tablespoons milk

2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder, or more to taste

2 tablespoons chocolate-hazelnut spread (such as Nutella®), or more to taste

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Stir self-rising flour, sugar, egg, vegetable oil, milk, cocoa powder, chocolate-hazelnut spread, salt and vanilla extract together in a large mug until batter is smooth. Cook in microwave oven on full power until the cake has risen in the mug and is set in the center, 1-1/2 to 2-1/2 minutes.
