North Wind Clarinets will join the Noon Hour Concert series on Thursday, Aug. 15, performing a variety of music – from the Spanish march, “Amparito Roca,” and dances, like “Tico Tico,” Puccini's “Nessun Dorma,” to classic jazz and swing tunes.
The concert, from 12:15 to 12:45 p.m. at Calvary Lutheran Church in Park Rapids, concludes the 2019 season.
The quintet has been playing together for over two decades, with a number of different members over the years. Current players include Peg Rickert, who teaches music at Cass Lake-Bena school, plays with the Upper Mississippians and is principal clarinet for Bemidji Symphony Orchestra.

Sarah Sundeen is in the Bemidji Community Band and has several clarinet students in Bemidji. Beth Hahn is the band director for Menahga School, plays clarinet in Northern Light Opera and the bass clarinet in the Park Rapids Area Community Band.
