This year’s summer reading program through the Kitchigami Regional Library System offers a series of free, virtual events for kids to share the fun of reading.

Children’s author and illustrator team Stephen and Trisha Speed Shaskan present “Virtual Storytime with Shaskans” at 10 a.m. June 17, July 1 and July 15 via Zoom.

Preschool and elementary kids will create their own stories, art and music with help from the author and illustrator of “Punk Skunks.”

In a two-part event at 10 a.m. June 22 and July 20 via Zoom, Nicholas Pawlowski presents “The Story Table: Timeless Tales for Changing Times.”

Pawlowski will get kids moving and laughing with stories about teamwork, friendship, kindness and how to succeed when faced with challenges. It promises to be a learning, listening, drawing and dancing experience that touches youngsters’ eyes, ears, hands, feet and hearts.
