The 2021-22 Park Rapids Sculpture Trail opens to the public with an artist-guided tour on Saturday, May 22.
The event begins at 10 a.m. at Red Bridge Park, about a block north of State Hwy. 34 and a block east of U.S. Hwy. 71. The tour will end in downtown Park Rapids, where additional artworks will be displayed during the next year.
Thirteen new sculptures are being installed and will remain in place for a year. The artists whose works were selected have been invited to share information about their works as part of the tour.
Artists featured in this year’s sculpture trail are: Tim Adams of Webster City, Iowa; Paul Albright of Akeley; Al Bellevue of Puposky; Mark Hall of Kasota; Clayton Johnson of Park Rapids; Jon Kamrath of Mahtomedi; Isaac Kidder of Minnetrista; David Montague of Brooklyn Park; Tim Nielsen of Bemidji; James Pedersen of Walker and Ryan Pedersen of North Mankato; Patrick Shannon of Vergas; David Welle of Nevis; and Simon Zornes of Bagley.
