More than 150 quilted items – the handiwork of 39 Crazy Quilters guild members – were on display Thursday at Riverside Methodist Church. The quilt show celebrated the guild’s 25th anniversary. Crazy Quilters is a charitable organization that unites those interested in quilting and annually donates quilts, placemats and table runners to community organizations or those in need. A traditional "bed turning" ceremony highlighted unique stories behind 14 quilts, like the Bali Wedding Star quilt pieced by Jean Cummins and quilted by Diane Hensel. It features a paper piecing design by Judy Niemeyer.
