ArtOrg is back by popular demand with their mini-steamroller.

The activity will be set up in the Park Rapids Library’s parking lot on Tuesday, Aug. 13. Participants come visit any time between 1:30 and 5 p.m. to make their very own Steam Roller Art print. All ages of artists may design a woodblock relief print.

“You’ll be cutting out and assembling your design, choosing your ink color and watching while the mini-steamroller acts as a printing press to complete your project,” explained branch manager Jodi Schultz. “It’s great for both children and adults. Young children will need adult supervision.”

The event is free. ArtOrg is supplying all the inks, block materials, papers – and a steamroller. Each print will be autographed, numbered and photographed. Registration is not required. In case of rain, the design portion of the event will be moved to the library meeting room.

Based in Cannon Falls, ArtOrg’s mission is “to impact individuals and communities through visual arts projects and events primarily centered in the print, with public art, commissioned work, and experiential-based education initiatives.”
