Sandy Dennison is taking the helm of the Hubbard County Historical Museum.

Previously, she worked at a not-for-profit dolphin research center in the Florida Keys. "It was wonderful. I thought I'd be there forever, but Hurricane Irma changed all of that," she said. Affordable housing was demolished by the storm, she explained.

"I got to be there for 13 years, so for that, I'm grateful," Dennison said.

She and her husband decided to return to Minnesota. They've purchased a home in Nevis, and her son's family lives nearby.
