Thomas William Mack, born Jan. 27, 1930 in Ponsford and a resident of New Brighton for the past 47 years. At age 83, our father, left this earthly life for a more heavenly life in the hands of our God. On Sept. 20, 2013, he passed unexpectedly to join those who have gone before him, parents, Henry and Mary Mack; wife, Darlene; siblings, Esther, Sam, and Joe.

He is survived by children, Brenda (Ken) Engelbrecht, Carol (Rick) Robbins, Michael (Jeanne), Lisa (Jeff) Fritzke, Scott, and Richard (Jill); grandchildren, Aaron (Lauren) Robbins, Jon (Alisha) Mack, Kelsey Robbins, Patrick and Jacob Mack, Madeline and Jordan Fritzke, Nicholas, Andrew and Joshua Mack; great-granddaughter, Cecelia Robbins; siblings, Arlene Veronen, Mildred Bloomquist and Jim (Irene) Mack; many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends; and "special friend," Jane Buscher.

Dad was a solid example of "taking the boy out of the country, but not the country out of the boy." He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War and attended North Dakota State University (NDSU) in pursuit of an electrical engineering degree which he applied in his employment with Unisys for nearly 35 years.

Known as a frequent visitor of garage sales, he was an avid gardener, outdoorsman, hunter, and golfer, but his greatest joy was the opportunity to share time with family, friends, and his grandchildren.

Visitation: 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 835 2nd Ave. NW, New Brighton also one hour before the service.

We thank you Dad for all the love, support and guidance you have given. You always seemed to know when we needed you most, and you were there without delay. You have left a part of you within each of us, and your legacy will go on. We are so proud to be your children, and so very proud to call you "Dad." You will be missed so very much, each and every day.
