Richard Ernest Lundstrom, 77, of Park Rapids, died Saturday, July 20, 2013 at his home near Park Rapids.

Richard was born April 15, 1936 in Floodwood, the son of Oscar L. and Marie L. (Juntti) Lundstrom. He graduated from Duluth East High School. He was united in marriage to Joan Elizabeth Koch March 8, 1956 in Superior, Wis.

Richard was a man who had many passions in life, and he pursued them wholeheartedly. He could fix about anything, includ-ing "fixing" his own heart that doctors said would give out years ago. He passed his great diversity of knowledge on to his kids, which will miss being able to ask him "How can we do this?" He especially had a passion for music, including playing and teaching others to play several others stringed instruments.

His nearly 60 years of marriage with his wife Joan was a testimony to the staying power of love. He will be greatly missed.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, farming, music, and family photog-raphy. He was self-employed for much of his life.

He is survived by his spouse, Joan Lundstrom of Park Rapids; sister, Darlene Vinopal of Duluth; three sons, Dave (Jan) Lundstrom of Brainerd, Tim (Laurie) Lundstrom of Barnesville, Dan (Linda) Lundstrom of Cottage Grove; daughter, Jeanne (Jon) Nauman of Ramsey; eight grandchil-dren; two great-grandchildren; and special family, Nicole and Randy Guida and eight children.

He was a preceded in death by his mom, Marie; sisters, Shirley and Helen; and brother, Russell.
