Raymond H. Voigt, 85, of Nevis, formerly of St. Augusta who passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at St. Benedict's Senior Community.

Ray was born June 4, 1927 in St. Augusta to Al-bert and Trecia (Schill) Voigt. He grew up in St. Augusta. Ray was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II.

He married Donna M. Tresco Aug. 9, 1947 at St. Mary's Cathedral, St. Cloud.

Ray owned and operated the Sanitary Market in St. Cloud, later he was employed as a Produce Manager for Del Farm until he retired in 1976. After his retirement he built a home on Lake Belle Taine in Nevis.

He was a member of Our Lady of the Pines Parish, Nevis Trail Blazers Snowmobile Club and life member of the Park Rapids American Legion Post 212.

Ray enjoyed snowmobiling, gardening and woodworking. His favorite pastime was sitting on the deck overlooking the lake.

Ray is survived by his wife, Donna; children, Michael (Candy) of Cold Spring, James (Jackie) of St. Cloud, Loni (Julie) of Buffalo and Tom of Park Rapids; eight grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and sisters-in-law, Bernice Voigt, Betty Voigt, Hilda Voigt and Vera Kutzera.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Art, Len, Frank and Elmer; sisters, Florence Koenig, Sadie Voigt, Alvina Fruth and Irene Lommel.

Mass of Christian Buri-al: 11 a.m. on Friday, May 24 at St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church in St. Augusta. Rev. Duane Pribula, Rev. Lloyd Haupt and Deacon Kenneth Rosha will con-celebrate.

Burial: at the parish cemetery

Family and friends may call: 4 until 8 p.m. with parish prayers at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 23 also one hour before the service Friday at St. Mary Help of Christians Parish Center in St. Augusta.

Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
