Winners announced in Professional Bull Riders competition; top purse is $11,484; new dates were success

John Smith, from Malta, Mont., $3,040. Timmy Vaughan, Tonganoxie, Kan., $2,285. Stetson Laurence, Williston, N.D., $1,781. The top barrel race winners included: Jordan Moore, from Mauston, Wis., $798. Katie Bell, from Motley, $598. Lindsay Jensen, $399, from Detroit Lakes. The PBR was on a new weekend this year (July 10-12) instead of the 4th of July. Jokela said that while there was some confusion over the new dates, many people liked the change. “I think it was a wonderful addition to Park Rapids and brought people here a second weekend (after the 4th),” he said.
