GONVICK — The Traveling Vietnam Veterans Wall will be on display to the public July 7-10 near the Gonvick Fire Department, 177 North Ave.
The wall is a 3/5 scale of the Vietnam Memorial in Washington, D.C., standing six feet tall at the center and covering almost 300 feet from end to end.
"This Traveling Memorial stands as a reminder of the great sacrifices made during the Vietnam War," the Traveling Wall website reads. "It was made for the purpose of helping heal and rekindle friendships and to allow people the opportunity to visit loved ones in their hometown who otherwise may not be able to make the trip to Washington."
In addition to the wall, many Veteran Advocate groups will be in attendance during the event.
"This is a way to not only remember our fallen but also help the living," Clearwater County Veterans Service Officer Logan LeClair said in a release. "There is absolutely no admission cost as we just want to see our local Minnesota veterans honored."
