Aleah Voigt is the May student of the month at Park Rapids Area High School.
The daughter of Angie and Jeff Voigt, Aleah has been involved in National Honor Society and varsity swim team and served as a varsity baseball team manager.
She plans to attend the University of Sioux Falls, majoring in business and marketing, and will be swimming for the Cougars in the fall of 2021.
Business teacher Angie Kuehn said, “Aleah has had a great high school career as both a student and an athlete. She is very dedicated to doing the best job she can in all that she is involved in. Very well-deserved award.”
English teacher Kerry Johnson said, “Aleah is a hard worker. Whether that be in the classroom or pool, she sets goals for herself and is ready to push herself to achieve them. She is also good at asking for help if she needs it; I appreciate that. I know these qualities will help her as she continues to strive to reach her goals. Congrats.”
Math teacher Mike Baumgartner said, “Aleah is currently taking trig/stats. She comes to class to learn each day. Aleah does her daily assignments with rigor, showing her understanding by well thought out work. Aleah has the top average in her stats class because of her work ethic. Aleah has been overly polite to me for the past four years. It has been a continuous joke, in which she compliments me on my shirt most every day, and I would thank her for the compliment most every day. Even when she was not my student, passing by in the hallway: ‘I like your shirt, Mr. B.’ Thank you once again, for the compliments and congratulations on being the May student of the month.”
Swimming coach Todd Fritze said, “Aleah is a great leader and one of the hardest working kids I have seen. She is driven to achieve her goals and is dedicated to do well. She has a great personality that makes others smile. She is a great representation of what a student should be.”
