Park Rapids Boy Scouts hold court of honor

The evening included opening and closing flag ceremonies, potluck dinner, slide shows of the past year's activities and presentation of awards, advancement and merit badges.

Park Rapids Troop 58 held a Court of Honor on Oct. 4 at American Legion Post 212 . The evening included opening and closing flag ceremonies, potluck dinner, slide shows of the past year's activities and presentation of awards, advancement and merit badges.

Much of which was earned while attending summer camp at Camp Wilderness, located just East of Emmaville, according to unit advancement chair Dave Hanson. “Congratulations, Scouts! Keep up the hard work and dedication, as you progress the path to Eagle,” he said in a news release.

Troop 58 meets the first and third Mondays of the month in the back of the Park Rapids American Legion and any youth interested in Scouting from the age of 11 to 18 is encouraged to join them for a meeting.
