Referendum

This letter is paid content. Next week we will be voting on a referendum to improve our school. I hear people complaining about increase in taxes. Do you realize that there is no job out there that didn’t require a teacher? Even a ditch digger had to be taught how to use a shovel. This district has a wonderful staff that loves our kids. They are going above and beyond making sure our students are getting the services they need. But there is only so much they can do in limited space. They are now using storerooms and closets to try to help all the students, especially those that need extra help. Our enrollment is increasing every year. I’ve volunteered at Century and I have seen the increase, and Administration try to juggle things to accommodate everybody. You can’t fit a size 12 foot into a size 6 shoe. I’m a homeowner here. I’m also a Senior Citizen on a fixed income. But I’m more than willing to spend a little of that income to make sure our students, our future, can get the best education possible. I hope the rest of you feel the same. Vote “YES” on the referendum ballot on November 3rd.
