Visitors to the 3rd annual Bite of Park Rapids Food & Art Fair will find food and much more on the menu Sunday, July 14 on Main Avenue in downtown Park Rapids.
In addition to local restaurants serving “bites” of interesting fare, the event will feature live music, face painting, caricatures, bouncing houses and an art fair, showcasing original works in wood, fabric, pottery, mosaics, visual art, jewelry and more.
The fun starts at 9 a.m. with food booths opening at 11 a.m. Spend the day until 4 p.m. tasting, sampling, enjoying music and shopping on Main street. Join in on fun food contests from 1:15-2 p.m.
The band line up is: 11 to noon Chasing Clarence, noon to 1:15 Absolute Grüv, 2 to 2:45 Make the Most and 2:45 to 4 Absolute Grüv.
The five-piece international indie ensemble, Chasing Clarence, finds its soul deeply rooted in the forests of Minnesota and Malaysia. With musical influences as wide ranging as the Mississippi River, their tenacious blend of vocal harmony and acoustic wittiness provides a true feeling of fresh. Prone to wander into territories uncharted, they offer up soul stirring songs with a pinch of sonic salt.
Absolute Grüv is a Minnesota-based band committed to reinventing classic rhythm and blues and blues sounds with a modern twist. With a core sound from guitar, bass, drums and the Hammond b3 organ, their combined jam band style and the Grüv’s roots in rock and blues make the band’s growing repertoire of originals truly unique.
An original Reggae trio from Park Rapids, Make the Most, features Josh Prendiz, lead vocals and guitar, Brandon Prendiz on drums and Roger Fenzel playing bass and doing back up vocals. Make the Most plays some originals and rock, admiring Bob Marley and The Beatles, among others.
