Join “Practical Tips for Gardeners (You Don’t Have To Wing It Alone) from 6:30 p.m. 8 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 20 at Northwoods Bank in Park Rapids to learn how to plant, create and maintain the garden of your dreams. Even the novice of gardeners can create a garden of joy.

Dr. Bert Swanson, retired University of Minnesota plant physiologist, will share his knowledge

in pruning techniques, transplanting secrets, native and exotic plants. As a previous owner in a

commercial landscape and nursery, Swanson has 40 plus years in the field of horticulture.
