Annual Fun Fly event will bring out the model planes

The Park Rapids Remote Controlled (R/C) Model Flying club will hold its annual Fun Fly from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 29-30 at the R/C Club airfield located 4 miles west on Highway 34 and south on Co. Rd. 117. Flights will run continuously both days. At dusk, pilots may operate lighted helicopters and gliders over the airfield. Other extracurricular events will include R/C combat rounds throughout the day. Watch as the Aces from the Headwaters Bats Outta Hell combat Wing show their stuff. The public can also participate in raffles and prize drawings that will be given away periodically during the event.
