Steve Noonan's American Family Insurance Agency donated $1,000 to the Headwaters Animal Shelter last week.
"Having had animals all my life I wanted to make a contribution to the shelter," he said. "We have adopted dogs from shelters before and they've always turn out to be great additions to our family. When my daughter was in high school she volunteered at the shelter many times. There is such a demand for donations whether it's time, food, or money I just wanted to help a little."
Aho, who is treasurer for the shelter, said there's always a need for cash donations and, in particular, wet cat food.
