MPCA hosting meetings for gas station owners/operators

Many underground fuel storage systems in Minnesota gas stations and convenience stores are nearing the end of their service life, as new regulations are set to take effect in fall 2020. The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) is hosting meetings to help station owners/operators understand the requirements for tanks, piping and leak detection systems and what they may need to do to remain in compliance with new regulations.

A senior MPCA tank inspector will lead a discussion from 9 to noon Tuesday, Feb. 11 in the first-floor conference room of the MPCA office, 714 Lake Ave. in Detroit Lakes. Topics will include current and upcoming rules, system age and condition, corrosion and component compatibility issues, credit card readers and testing equipment.

Space is limited. To reserve a spot, email bryan.olson@state.mn.us or call 218-846-8106.
