CHI St. Joseph’s Health Foundation Director Sonja Day, at top right, presents Brenda Kent, market manager of the Park Rapids Farmers’ Market, with a $1,000 donation to the Power of Produce (PoP) Club. The PoP Club provides funding for children, ages 4-12, to receive tokens to exchange for free, fresh fruit and vegetables at the market. Each season, approximately 500 tokens are distributed during July and August, and vendors enjoy seeing the children pick out their favorite items. The PoP Club is a collaborative effort with the University of Minnesota Extension program.
