The Park Rapids boys basketball team overcame a 42-36 halftime deficit and a 30-point effort by Chris Carrillo for a 76-63 victory at Rothsay on Dec. 14.
Nick Michaelson’s double-double of 22 points and 14 rebounds along with Logan Jackson’s double-double of 19 points and 11 rebounds led the Panthers. Jackson also dished out eight assists and Michaelson blocked five shots. Noah Morris also scored in double figures with 13 points while Parker Harmon grabbed eight rebounds and Mason Yliniemi hauled down seven boards as Park Rapids improved to 5-1. The Panthers had 23 assists on their 30 made shots.
Tanner Heier added 14 points for Rothsay, which went 2 for 17 on 3-pointers in falling to 3-3 on the season.
