Authorities have identified the man who was fatally shot during an assault in a Koochiching County home this weekend. The St. Louis County Medical Examiner's Office identified the man as Benjamin Beaudoin, 34, of Mendota Heights, Minn. Beaudoin was shot shortly before 6 a.m.

– Piglets were falling out of a truck and onto Interstate 29 for several miles near here Wednesday until the driver eventually noticed, the North Dakota Highway Patrol said. There were “dead pigs all over the road,” Sgt. Greg Smith said. The truck driver was apparently unaware that piglets he was transporting from Winnipeg, Manitoba, to Iowa were tumbling out of the vehicle about 11 a.m.
