A crash between a semi-trailer carrying an "explosive" agent and a car resulted in serious injuries to a Cass Lake woman on Tuesday and closed U.S. Highway 2 for a time. The Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office has reported that Jeffrey Schultes, 53, of rural Perham, fired a .22 caliber rifle at his son, Jesse Schultes, 24, of Perham, as Jesse tried to drive away from the scene. A bullet struck Jesse’s window, shattering it and causing glass fragments to land on his face, resulting in small abrasions.
