Jason Duane Lampl, 24, has been sentenced in Becker County District Court for felony second-degree burglary. According to court records, in June of 2014 he burglarized a cabin on South Dinner Lake Loop, Park Rapids. The well pump and tank were removed from inside the cabin, and he also took 10 sheets of drywall, a quantity of lumber, and some tools and household items. He was charged after DNA on a cigarette butt left at the site was traced to him via a state database.
St. CLOUD — The former mayor of Richmond in central Minnesota is accused of stealing money from the amateur baseball team that he used to manage. Scott Kron, 43, is charged in Stearns County District Court with three felonies and one gross misdemeanor.

Cass County Sheriff's corporal who pulled over a woman for speeding was dragged for 25 feet as the woman drunkenly tried to drive away, charges filed Friday in Cass County District Court said. Nicolle Jean Koehler, 32, was charged with felony reckless endangerment and four misdemeanors: fleeing or attempting to elude a peace officer, preventing arrest or discharge of other duties, DUI, and refusing to submit to chemical testing. Koehler was speeding in Mapleton when Cpl. Keenan Zundel pulled her over, according to Zundel's report of the incident.
A North Dakota man who allegedly kept his brother's body in his camper trailer for more than five months has been charged with his murder. KITTSON COUNTY, Minn.--Emergency crews responded to a fire at a portion of the TransCanada pipeline in Kittson County near the U.S.-Canada border around 9 p.m. Saturday night. It happened just a few miles south of the border at the St. Vincent Compressor Station. When crews arrived on scene, TransCanada workers had shut down the valve and allowed the gas to burn off.
