Though the Main Stage at the Soo Pass Ranch won't be open for business until Thursday afternoon, the 32nd annual WE Fest officially kicks off tonight and Wednesday with two free nights of music. The Barn Stage (located adjacent to the Ranch House Saloon, on the north side of the main concert bowl) will open its doors to the general public at 8 p.m., with local favorites Silverado set to take the stage at 9 p.m. They will be followed by two other well-known regional acts, Redline at 10:30 p.m.

A University of Minnesota Duluth football player remained hospitalized in stable condition Sunday night after a stabbing early Saturday morning in downtown Duluth. Austin Sikorski, 22, was admitted to St. Luke’s hospital after Duluth police received a call to a street fight at 1:54 a.m.
