Two people were hurt after a driver apparently fell asleep and ran off the road in Becker County Tuesday night. The Minnesota State Patrol says James Casto, who's 19 and from Hibbing, MN, was driving west on Highway 34 near Park Rapids. Casto fell asleep and his car ran off the road and rolled. The crash happened about 11:30 Tuesday night. Casto and his passenger Hilary Schultz, who's 25 and from Detroit Lakes, MN, were both hurt. Troopers say their injuries are not life-threatening.

Fargo police are investigating whether a man discovered with a head injury on the south side of the city early Monday morning could have been attacked with a hammer. Lt. Joel Vettel said police discovered the injured man outdoors in the 200 block of 23rd Street South at around 3:15 Monday morning. The man’s girlfriend had heard him calling for help and had come outside to see another man leaving the area, carrying a hammer, she told police. She had not seen whether the man had actually been attacked.
