A 20-year-old woman from Bloomington, Minn., was found unconscious Wednesday morning in a wooded area near Rice Avenue and 10th Street NW in Bemidji. he Minnesota State Patrol is investigating a serious injury accident on Tuesday on U.S. Highway 2 near the Bemidji Airport. Law enforcement responded to a crash near mile marker 110 involving two vehicles at 5:04 p.m, according to the state patrol website. Aaron Pearson, 33, of Laporte, was driving a 1999 GMC while pulling a camper that was traveling Westbound on Hwy 2. Pearson had two juvenile passengers. As state officials met in Bismarck to approve new oil conditioning standards and to discuss the drop in crude oil prices, landowners from the Oil Patch gathered at a separate meeting to review a different side of the Bakken oil boom – spills, soil contamination and landowner rights. Bentley is somewhat worse for wear after his absence. He has lost body weight, his paws are raw, he has intestinal problems, pneumonia and a severe ear infection, but his owner, Cindi Leach, says the veterinarian who examined him earlier this week is confident that in two weeks, with medication, he will bounce right back.
