A Park Rapids man has been found guilty by a jury of felony first-degree aggravated robbery in the April 24, 2014, robbery of DL Tobacco. Eric Jerome Goodman, 29, of 210 Park Ave. S. Park Rapids was found guilty in Becker County District Court Tuesday. According to court records: At about 3:30 p.m. April 24, 2014 officers were dispatched to the DL Tobacco Store in Detroit Lakes on the report of an armed robbery.

A body has been found on Lake of the Woods near the Canadian border after a man disappeared six months in a boating accident on the lake.
The Wadena County Sheriff's Office has released the name of the young woman killed after being hit by a BNSF train Saturday evening. Officials say 15-year-old Stacy Hundeby of Wadena was struck and killed by an eastbound BNSF train. Hundeby's dog was also killed by the BNSF train. Hundeby was a ninth-grader at Wadena-Deer Creek High School, according to the district's Facebook page post.
