Ginnie Donovan of Lake Park, Minn., was in the midst of a prayer service for her daughter Monday night when she got the call from the Minnesota State Patrol. A man was struck by lightning Sunday morning while fishing on Baby Lake in rural Hackensack. The Cass County Sheriff's office was notified of the lightning strike at 10:38 a.m. When responders and medical personnel arrived they found three adult males were fishing in a boat and one was struck by lightning. The male was transported via North Air Care to a Twin Cities hospital and two adult males were taken by North Memorial Ambulance to Essentia Health-St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd.
