ADA, Minn. – A 19-year-old Fertile man faces four felony charges after he was accused in Tuesday’s shooting of a Norman County deputy during a traffic stop east of Perley. Steven Anthony Henderson was charged Thursday in a Norman County courtroom with first-degree attempted murder of a peace officer, bringing stolen goods into the state and two counts of receiving stolen property.

WAUBUN, MINN. – A bomb threat forced the evacuation of Waubun High School on Tuesday. The threat was made in written form, according to a news release from the Mahnomen County Sheriff’s Office. Law enforcement was informed of the threat about 1:40 p.m.

Victor Arden Barnard, 52, was charged last week in State District Court with 59 counts of criminal sexual conduct.
