Miranda Kowalke, 7, tends to “Daisy,” a Black Polish rabbit. This breed, also known as “Little Aristocrat,” is one of the smaller domestic rabbits.  As a Cloverbud, Miranda can bring three general projects and two animals to the county fair.

The high-flying motor muscle action of the monster truck show returns to the Hubbard County Fair this year. The crowd favorite show is scheduled for Friday, July 15 at 7 p.m. in front of the grandstand.

The Monster Truck rally held Friday at the Hubbard County Fair had the crowd cheering, with Larry Quick of Aledo, Ill. winning the racing, wheelie and freestyle events. Quinton Adams of Indiana was behind the wheel of Defender I, brother Zach Adams drove Defender II. Matt Clark of Kansas was Freedom Keeper’s driver. Darren Migues was a Nitro Menace. Quick drove Ghost Ryder and Minnesotan Jim Bendzick of New Ulm  sent Thunder 4X4 around the track.
