‘Friends’ committed to library as cornerstone of community

“The Dream Tree” is inspired by a Pinterest project discovered by Menahga art teacher Dawn Rossbach. The tree is “growing” outside her classroom. “It’s intended for students who finished projects early to make a leaf in a creative way of their choosing,” she explains. “They anonymously write their dream on the back of the leaf, making the tree grow a little bigger. The Park Rapids Classic Chorale presents its venerated Christmas concert, “Before the Marvel of This Night,” at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5 and 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7 at St. Johns Lutheran Church. Musical selections feature chorale classics as well as new works, under the direction of Jason Wright. Donations are welcome. Refreshments are provided after the concert.
