Hubbard County Master Gardener Donna Wohlenhaus, at left, received a 20-year service award from Hubbard County Extension coordinator Sally Shearer. The Master Gardener program began 25 years ago in Minnesota. Wolenhaus volunteers a minimum of 50-60 hours a year in various horticultural endeavors. She has become a "bug expert" and helps gardeners with insect control. She's also an expert at identifying weeds and perennials and staffs a booth at the county fair each year, answering questions about a variet...
