Crystal Brown, center, of Park Rapids receives a free Japanese tree lilac Thursday from Cheryle Wilke, chairperson of the city’s Urban Forestry Committee, and City Planner Ryan Mathisrud. Girl Scouts help City Forester Steph Paulson plant another tree. Park Rapids is celebrating its 27th year as a Tree City USA.  This tree is an Ivory Silk Lilac on Riverside Ave., between 3rd & 4th streets. Pictured from left are Kassidy Ennen, Kadence Ennen, Tegan Lippert, the city forester Stephanie, Brenna Behrens, Maeve Bolton and Natalie Harvey.
