Coborn, Erickson, Bade earn Mid-State Conference honors

Levi Erickson capped off his senior season by earning Mid-State Conference honorable mention honors after hitting .500 (15 for 30) with 11 runs, nine RBI and five stolen bases in 12 conference games.

Seniors Sam Coborn and Levi Erickson and sophomore Drew Bade represented Park Rapids on this year's Mid-State Conference baseball team.

Coborn earned all-conference honors while Erickson and Bade were all-conference honorable mention selections.

Coborn started all 12 conference games in center field and batted .477 (21 for 44, including two doubles and two triples) with 10 runs, 12 RBI and 10 stolen bases.

Erickson batted .500 (15 for 30, including two doubles) with 11 runs, nine RBI and five stolen bases primarily as a designated hitter in 12 conference games.

Bade played in eight conference games primarily at shortstop and batted .300 (6 for 20) with five runs and six RBI. Bade also went 1-0 on the mound, allowing three earned runs on six hits and four walks over six innings.

Perham won the conference title with an 11-1 record while Staples-Motley finished at 8-4 and Wadena-Deer Creek went 7-5. Park Rapids and Detroit Lakes tied for fourth place with 6-5-1 records. Pequot Lakes (3-9) and Crosby-Ironton (0-12) rounded out the conference standings.
