Park Rapids girls win title at Crookston

Another consistent performance led the Park Rapids girls golf team to its first win of the season at Crookston Monday.

Hannah Williams' 91, Katie Kristofferson's 94, Mariena Dearstyne's 96 and Katie Walsh's 102 led the Panthers to a 383 at the Minakwa Golf Course, which will be the site of the Section 8AA North Subsection tournament. In the last three invitational meets, the Panthers have carded rounds of 383, 382 and 383.

Thief River Falls was second with a 386 while Roseau took third in this seven-team meet with a 399. Crookston's Monica Wold earned medalist honors with a 79.

Team scores: Park Rapids 383, Thief River Falls 386, Roseau 399, East Grand Forks 400, Crookston 404, Warroad 485, Crookston JV 530, Bagley incomplete.

Panthers coast at Bears Den

Kristofferson shared medalist honors as the Panthers won the second Northern Pines Conference meet at Bears Den last Friday.

Kristofferson's 39, Dearstyne's 44 and Riley Kimball's 51 led the Panthers to a 134.

Nevis finished third with a 153 behind a pair of 50s by Allyson Snyder and McKenzie Harris and a 53 by Olivia Toft. Sam Wormley followed with a 54.

Team scores: Park Rapids 134, Bigfork 147, Nevis 153, Deer River 153, Red Lake 161, Blackduck 168, Northome-Kelliher 181.

Nevis wins at Deer River

Harris' 51 and a pair of 62s by Toft and Snyder led Nevis to first place at the third conference meet at Deer River Tuesday.

Kristofferson's 45, Alyza Edevold's 59 and Dana McDonald's 61 led the Panthers to second place with a 165.

Team scores: Nevis 155, Park Rapids 165, Northome-Kelliher 176, Walker-Hackensack-Akeley 180, Blackduck 185, Red Lake 189.
