Panthers hit goal, card 380 at Wadena

Led by career bests by Mariena Dearstyne and Katie Walsh, the Park Rapids girls golf team reached a goal by carding a 380 at Thursday's Wadena-Deer Creek Invitational at Whitetail Run.

Dearstyne led the way with an 89 and Walsh completed the team score with a 101 as the Panthers shot under 400 for the first time this season. Katie Kristofferson's 81 and Hannah Williams' 99 helped Park Rapids finish fifth in this 11-team meet.

Detroit Lakes claimed the team title with a 342 while Pequot Lakes' Savanna Stone won a scorecard playoff over Perham's Holly Karkela to earn medalist honors with an 83.
