Panthers blank W-DC for 7th win in row

Park Rapids' three doubles teams combined to lose only one game in a 7-0 Mid-State Conference girls tennis victory over Wadena-Deer Creek Tuesday night.

The No. 1 doubles team of Karly Dickinson and Allie Girtz and the No. 3 doubles team of Heidi Schaum and Lydia Schaum didn't drop a game while the No. 2 doubles team of Bonnie Baumgartner and Lexi Burlingame lost only one game.

The Panthers also swept the four singles matches as Christina Smith (at the No. 3 spot) and Julia Renner (at the No. 4 spot) lost only one game each. Bailey LaCoursiere also posted a straight-set win at No. 2 singles while Alyssa Carlson prevailed in three sets at No. 1 singles to complete the sweep.

The Panthers, who won their seventh dual in a row, improved to 4-0 in conference matches and 7-2 overall.

No. 4 singles: Julia Renner, PR, over Molly Barrett 6-0, 6-1.
