Halle Landstrom finished first in floor exercise as the Park Rapids-Nevis gymnastics team just missed reaching a team goal during Thursday night's dual meet against Detroit Lakes' junior varsity team.

Landstrom topped the field in floor with an 8.50 in leading the Panthers to a season-best team score as Detroit Lakes prevailed 127.25-119.55. The 119.55 just missed Park Rapids' goal of a 120 team score and surpassed the previous season high of 117.40. Detroit Lakes' JV defeated the Panthers 130.95-110.50 earlier this season. Detroit Lakes' varsity is rated No. 1 in the state with a 149.16 average.

Following Landstrom in floor were Morgan Koppelman with a 7.95, Olivia Ulvin with a 7.70 and Alex Kirlin with a 6.55 as the Panthers hit a season high with a 30.70.

The Panthers also posted a season high on balance beam with a 29.80 behind Erin Tooker's 7.80, Koppelman's 7.65, Landstrom's 7.55 and Ulvin's 6.80. Detroit Lakes' Jerzie Horner took first with an 8.25.

Tooker's 7.30, Koppelman's 6.90, Katie Eischens' 6.50 and Landstrom's 6.05 gave the Panthers a 26.75 on uneven parallel bars. Horner led the way with an 8.25.

Park Rapids' best event was vault where a pair of 8.10s by Tooker and Grace Litzau and a pair of 8.05s by Landstrom and Brianna Nelson resulted in a 32.30. The Lakers' McKenna Mallow topped the field with an 8.50.

Koppelman finished fourth in all-around with a 30.20 and Landstrom followed with a 30.15. Both were season bests as the Panthers fell to 0-4 in dual meets. Horner won the all-around title with a 33.30.

Detroit Lakes received marks of 33.70 in vault, 32.80 in floor, 30.95 on beam and 29.80 on bars.
